Arlo Don Gaylor, 82, of Horseshoe Bend, Arkansas, passed away, Monday, December 11th, 2017 at his home.
He was born in Bellevue, Iowa on July 27, 1935, son of the late Helen Ann (Schwaegler) and L Donald Gaylor. Arlo was united in marriage to Nancy Ennis White on October 2, 1960 in Dubuque, Iowa and from this union three sons were born. He spent his life as a loving son, brother, husband, father, and grandfather. Arlo served our country in the Army National Guard and was a past elder for the Presbyterian Church in Maynard, Iowa. He farmed for ten years and owned and operated a construction business. Arlo loved restoring Sears Garden Tractors and had five in his current collection. His favorite past times included spending time with family, boating in the Mississippi River, and fishing.
Arlo is survived by his wife, Nancy Gaylor of Horseshoe Bend; sons, Kurt Gaylor of Monona, Iowa, Kevin Gaylor and wife Carol of Shoreview, Minnesota and Keith Gaylor and wife Lynn of Colorado Springs, Colorado; sisters, Roberta Schaub and husband George of Bellevue, Iowa and Karen Sabrowski and husband Ed of Llaves, New Mexico; brother, John Gaylor and Ginny of Dubuque, Iowa and five grandchildren, Shelby Gaylor of Kasson, Minnesota, Zachary Gaylor, Austin Gaylor, Graham Gaylor and Seth Gaylor all of Colorado Springs, Colorado.
He was preceded in death by his parents, L Donald and Helen Ann Gaylor.
Memorial service will be held, Wednesday, December 20, 2017 beginning at 2:00 PM at Faith Presbyterain Church in Horseshoe Bend with Rev. David Schaller officiating.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent to the Salvation Army, 121 Highway 201 North, Mountain Home, Arkansas 72653.
