Armin Schroeder, JR, 85, of Horseshoe Bend, Arkansas, passed away,Thursday, June 18th, at Fulton County Hospital in Salem, Arkansas. He was born in Elyria, Ohio on October 5, 1929, a son of the late Margaret Louise (Herr) and Armin Schroeder. On Apriil 20, 1991 he was united in marriage to Tina Herren at Mount Calvary in Cahokia, Illinois. Armin spent his life as a son, brother, husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather. During his life he was a Commercial Graphic Artist at Silk Screen Products in Saint Louis, Missouri and served the United States in the Army. He was a member of Shepherd of the Hills Lutheran Church, where he served as the organist and choir director. He sang locally with the Horseshoe Blenders, and was a preceptor Alpha Gamma with the Horseshoe Bend Chapter of Beta Sigma Phi. Armin is survived by his wife Tina Schroeder of the home; one brother, Dick Schroeder and wife Joyce of Las Vegas, Nevada; four sons, Dave Schroeder and wife Jane of Maumelle, Arkansas, Dale Schroeder and wife Brenda of Middleton, Missouri, Dan Schroeder and wife Marie of Fayettville, Arkansas and Doug Schroeder of Fayettville, Arkansas; six grandchildren, Matt, Emily, Levi, Ethan, Noah and Eli; two step grandchildren, Donald and Paul Goforth; one great grandchild, Jacob Schroeder; two step great grandchildren, Quinten and Morgan Goforth and one uncle, Dave Schroeder of Ohio. He was preceded in death by his parents, Margaret and Armin Schroeder; first wife, Jackie Schroeder; two brothers, Don and Jack Schroeder and one son, Darrell Schroeder. Memorials preferred to Shepherd of the Hills Lutheran Church.
Visitation will be held June 22, 2015 beginning at 12:00 PM with services to follow at 2:00 PM at Shepherd of the Hills Lutheran Church, 508 Profession Drive, Horseshoe Bend, Arkansas 72512 with Rev. David Tews officiating. Internment will be held Tuesday, June 23, 2015 beginning at 2:00 PM at Lakewood Park Cemetery in Saint Louis, Missouri. Arrangements entrusted to Doty Family Funeral and Memorial Service of Horseshoe Bend, Arkansas.
