Audrey L Brock

Audrey L. Brock, 91, of Horseshoe Bend, Arkansas, passed away Thursday, July 26, 2018, at Eaglecrest Nursing & Rehabilitation in Highland, Arkansas.

She was born in Minden, Louisiana on February 23, 1927, daughter of the late William and Willie Mae (Bowlin) Corbin. Audrey spent her life as a loving daughter, sister, wife, mother, grandmother and friend. She was united in marriage to the late William H. Brock II in Minden, Louisiana in 1945. Audrey was a member of the Horseshoe Bend United Methodist Church. She received her GED and supported her family by working at Red River Arsenal. She also worked at J.C. Penny’s until moving to Houston, Texas. After the move she began working for Folley’s Department Store where she was the assistant buyer. She loved sports, dancing and taking care of her kids and grandchildren while her husband traveled working in the Southwest oil fields.  

Audrey is survived by her children, William H. Brock III and wife Pamela of Horseshoe Bend, Arkansas, Linda Guzman and husband Mike of Arlington, Texas and Dianna Farris and husband Robert of Carbondale, Colorado; sisters, Parnell Burner of Hot Springs, Arkansas and Meldred Hines of Springhill, Louisiana; seven grandchildren, Matthew Brock, Eric Brock, Kelley Farris, Michael Guzman, Scott Guzman, Kim Rich and Missy Guzman; five great grandchildren and one great-great grandchild.

She was preceded in death by her husband, William H. Brock II; son, Robert Paul Brock; parents, William and Willie Mae Corbin; sister, Millie Stevenson and brother, William Beene. 

Memorial services will be held in Springhill, Louisiana at a later date.
