Betty J Buchner

Betty J. Buchner, 80, of Horseshoe Bend, Arkansas passed away Saturday, March 12, 2022, in Salem, Arkansas. 

She was born in Sand Springs, Oklahoma on June 18, 1941, daughter of the late Clarence Earl Shores and Olive Hodge. Betty spent her life as a loving daughter, sister, wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and friend. She was united in marriage to the late Carl Howard Buchner on March 26, 1960, in Las Vegas, Nevada. Betty was a member of Faith Presbyterian Church in Horseshoe Bend where she loved attending. She enjoyed shopping, traveling, making floral arrangements, reading, and spending time with her sister, “Janie”. 

Betty is survived by her son, Steven Craig Buchner (Michelle) of Merced, California; daughter, Kellie Reid (Gene) of Lindsay, California; brothers, Wendell Shores (Sherri) of Mojave Valley, Arizona and Gerald Shores (Carla) of Tehachapi, California; sisters, Elizabeth Goldbaum of  Cassville, Missouri; Carol Belanger of Collinsville, Oklahoma and Diane Winters of Mountain View, Arkansas; grandchildren, Emily Reid, Joseph Reid, Felicia Buchner, Steven Buchner, Amy Buchner and Amanda Buchner and many great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Carl Buchner; son, Barry Scott Buchner and parents. 

Funeral services will be Saturday, March 19, 2022, beginning at 11:00 AM at Faith Presbyterian Church in Horseshoe Bend with Rev. David Schaller officiating. Interment will follow in Evening Shadows Memorial Park in Horseshoe Bend.
