Ethel Mae Berkholtz

Ethel Mae Berkholtz, 80, of Horseshoe Bend, Arkansas, passed away, Thursday, April 8th, 2021 at Fulton County Hospital in Salem, Arkansas.

She was born in Harvard, Illinois on April 2, 1941to Leslie and Vivian Utesh Shulz.

Ethel was united in marriage to Walter Berkholtz in Harvard, Illinois on October 30, 1964 and from this union three daughters were born, Melody, Cynthia and Melissa. They celebrated over fifty years of marriage.

She was a homemaker and enjoyed coloring, bowling, crocheting, and spending time with her grandchildren. She was a member of the Horseshoe Bend United Methodist Church.

Ethel is survived by her daughters, Melody Folyer and husband John of Horseshoe Bend, Arkansas and Cynthia Smith and husband Matt of Metter, Georgia; six grandchildren, Amanda Ward (Greg), Jennifer Cunningham (Andrew), Jessica Folyer, Ashley Kenny, Jasmine Nesmith (Angela), Matthew Smith, Travis Smith; and five great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Walter Berkholtz, her parents, and her daughter, Melissa Berkholtz.

A Memorial Service will be held on Friday, September 24, 2021, beginning at 10:00 AM at Doty Family Funeral & Memorial Service in Horseshoe Bend, Arkansas with Bro. Tom Doty officiating.
