Hazel M Matthews

Hazel M. Matthews, 74, of Horseshoe Bend, Arkansas, passed away Oct 5, 2020 in Salem, Arkansas.

She was born in Port Angeles, Washington on June 6, 1946, daughter of the late Ray and Ione (Son) Sowards. Hazel spent her life as a loving daughter, sister, mother, grandmother, and friend. During her working years, Hazel was a Registered Nurse. She loved animals especially her neighborhood cat.

Hazel is survived by her son, Dale J. (Angie) Matthews of Burlington, Washington; sister Laurie (Paul) Samson of Horseshoe Bend, Arkansas; brother, Chuck Sowards of California and three granddaughters, Tiffanie, Makayla and Rebeka.

She was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Don and sister, Betty.

Services will be held at a later date
