Jerome (Max) Jacob Grabowski

Jerome Jacob (Max) Grabowski, 78, of Horseshoe Bend, Arkansas, passed away, Tuesday, February 24th, at UAMS, in Little Rock, Arkansas. He was born in Milwaukee, Wisconsin on September 10, 1936, a son of the late Sophie Frances (Bednarowski) and Jacob Joseph Grabowski. Jerome was united in marriage to Michelle Marie Arnold in Milwaukee, Wisconsin and to this union came one son, Michael Grabowski. He spent his life as a son, husband, father, grandfather, policeman in Milwaukee and served in three branches of the U.S. Military, the Navy, Air Force and Army. While in the military he reached the rank of Command Sergeant Major. He was a member of Saint Mary of the Mount Catholic Church in Horseshoe Bend, Arkansas and belonged to the Milwaukee Police Association, Knights of Columbus, 84th Division Alumni, and the American Legion. Jerome is survived by his wife, Michelle of the home; son, Michael Grabowski and wife Melissa of Milwaukee, Wisconsin; Itsumi (Amy) Grabowski, mother of his three children, Susan Belongia and husband Scott of New Berlin, Wisconsin, James Grabowski and Linda of Mount Pleasant, Wisconsin, and Jeff Grabowski of Milwaukee, Wisconsin; one step son, Chip Sanders; ten grandchildren, Gina, Jeffrey, Leah, Morgan, Kayla, Taylor, Jake, Lucas, Teigan and Avalise; two step grandchildren, Chad JR and Shianne; two great grandchildren, Richard and Vinnie; and one beloved pet, Jeda. He was preceded in death by his parents; stepson, Chad; daughter in law, Claudia and pet Shelby. Funeral services will be held Thursday, March 5, 2015 beginning at 11:00 AM at the Christ King Parish, 2604 North Swan Boulevard, Wauwatosa, Wisconsin. Burial will be at Resurrection Cemetery and Mausoleum in Mequon, Wisconsin. Visitation will be held Thursday, February 26, 2015 beginning at 5:00 PM at Doty Family Funeral and Memorial Service Chapel in Horseshoe Bend, Arkansas and on Wednesday, March 4, 2015 beginning at 5:00 PM with a Rosary at 7:00 PM at Church and Chapel Funeral Home, 15250 W. National Avenue, New Berlin, Wisconsin. Pallbearers will be Scott Belongia, Jim Grabowski, Jeff Grabowski, Michael Grabowski, Jake Belongia, John Smokovich and Honorary Pallbearer will be Jeff Grabowski. Donations may be made to Saint Mary of the Mount Catholic Church, 1002 First Street, Horseshoe Bend, Arkansas 72512. Arrangements entrusted to Doty Family Funeral and Memorial Service in Horseshoe Bend, Arkansas.
