Rickey Gene Jackson

Rickey Gene Jackson, 67, of Evening Shade, Arkansas, passed away, Saturday, December 5, 2020 in Salem, Arkansas.

He was born in Rockford, Illinois, on October 4, 1953, son of the late JT “T” and Mirleene Jackson. Rick loved racing and anything that went fast. He loved cars whether that be racing them or working on them. Rick could often be found at George Ray’s Dragstrip or the Newport Dragstrip. During his working years, Rick worked as a mechanic.

Rick is survived by his son, Nathan Jackson and wife Jean Ann of Salem, Arkansas; daughter, Tanya Wood of Middleburg, Florida and four grandchildren, Felicia Wood of Bentonville, Arkansas, Tyler Wood of Jacksonville, Florida, Chance Jackson of Salem, Arkansas and Spencer Jackson of Salem, Arkansas.

He was preceded in death by his parents, JT and Mirleene Jackson.

Funeral Services will be held, Wednesday, December 9, 2020 at Doty Family Funeral & Memorial Service Chapel in Horseshoe Bend, Arkansas beginning at 2:00 PM with Bro. Tom Doty officiating. Interment will follow at Godwin Cemetery in Myron, Arkansas. Visitation will be prior to the service beginning at noon.
