Rodrick Robert Temple, 86, of Horseshoe Bend, Arkansas, passed away peacefully at his home on March 20, 2026. He was born October 18, 1939, in Clinton, Pennsylvania to Sherman and Harriet (Selfe) Temple.
Robert lived a full and vibrant life. During his career, he worked as a casino manager aboard the Pacific Princess, famously known as “The Love Boat”, and later in IGT electronics specializing in slot machines. He was known for his quick wit, warm personality, and his ability to make others laugh wherever he went.
He found great joy in spending time with family and friends, often hosting barbeques and enjoying the outdoors through fishing, camping and hiking.
Rod also had a passion for woodworking, traveling, and celebrating holidays with loved ones. Generous to a fault, he was the kind of man who would give you the shirt off his back and he never turned down a cold Budweiser.
Rod is survived by his daughters, Dawn Cortez (Andrew) and Tabitha Dominque; his grandchildren, Janyce Alameda, Destiny Cortez, Ben Domingue, and Averi Domingue; as well as additional children, Keary Morris, Lee Morris, Michelle Houghland, Jim Morris, and Rick Morris, along with many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his brothers, Lawrence Temple, Charles Temple, and Gerald Temple; his sisters, Ella Jane Halnes, June Wadsworth, Elaine Wadsworth, and Patricia Temple.
