Ronald John Brooks, 88, of Horseshoe Bend, Arkansas, passed away on Wednesday, July 29, 2026, in Cherokee Village, Arkansas.

He was born May 1, 1938, in Sioux City, Iowa, son of the late Sam and Emma (Bolhkn) Brooks. Ronald was united in marriage to Joan Frances St. Peter. 

Ronald was a member of the Assembly of God Church in Horseshoe Bend, Arkansas, and a strong lifetime member of the Elks Lodge in Highland, Arkansas.

He is survived by sons, Scott (Jennifer) Brooks of Horseshoe Bend, Arkansas and Rory Brooks of Sacramento, California; daughter, Vickie Brooks of Horseshoe Bend, Arkansas; brother, James (Kathy) Brooks of Garfield, Arkansas; grandchildren, Albert Torres, Mackenzie Torres, Steen Johnson, Twyla (Brandon) Brooks and great granddaughter, Leyla Loudermilk.

He is preceded in death by his parents; wife, Joan Brooks and brother, Larry Brooks.
