Virginia “Ginny” Carolyn Adams, 88, of Horseshoe Bend, Arkansas, passed away, Monday, June 1, 2026, at her home in Horseshoe Bend.

She was born in Rochester, New York, on August 13, 1937, daughter of the late Willis L. and Grace W. (Foreman) Simmons.

Ginny lived and worked at Kodak in Rochester until she moved to California in 1958, where she also worked at Kodak. After living in California for a few years, she moved back to Rochester and married Robert Adams and back to California they went, where Ginny absolutely loved it. They had three children and raised them in California until 1969 when they packed up the three kids and two dogs into a truck with a camper and station wagon and moved nearly across the country to Lorain, Ohio due to a transfer with Robert’s job.

In 1982, Bob and Ginny moved to Horseshoe Bend and Bob opened Bob & Ginny’s restaurant in the Horseshoe Mall. They owned and operated the restaurant until Bob fell ill and they closed in 1996 just before his passing in March of 1997. Together her and Robert enjoyed bowling, camping, playing pinochle, fishing, family vacations and golfing.

After the closing of the restaurant and Bob’s passing, Ginny worked at Snappy Mart as a manager, Valero, Horseshoe Laundromat, Box Hound Marina cleaning cabins and Neighborhood Fresh Market as head cashier. She finally retired at the age of 76.

She had a heart for helping others and that is how she met Paul. Her and Paul were married on April 9, 2016, after many years of dating.

Ginny was of the Assembly of God faith and attending the Assembly of God Church in Horseshoe Bend, Arkansas.

Ginny was a very proud mom of her three children, grandma to three grandkids, great grandma to 11 and great great grandma to 4.

Virginia is survived by her husband, Paul Harbin of Franklin, Arkansas; daughters, Deborah Ortega of Elyria, Ohio and Christina Perry of Lorain, Ohio; brother, Robert L.
